Sole Counsel

Reporting to the CFO, you will advise the business on a broad range of issues and have overall responsibility for the legal function. This will include:

• Drafting and leading the negotiation of a variety of specialized, commercial contracts with charity clients, suppliers, corporate partners and event-organisers
• Advising on data protection and direct marketing legislation
• Helping the business understand and quantify the legal risk involved with potential product developments so that decisions can be made as efficiently as possible
• Monitoring for legislative changes that may affect the business and advising senior management on the same
• Managing our portfolio of trademarks and domain names

This would be an ideal role for a mid/senior lawyer who is looking for a broad variety of work and who has the confidence and experience to work autonomously in a fast-paced tech business. Ideally you will have at least 4-6 years PQE and a mix of both private practice and some in-house experience. You need to have strong experience of general commercial work with exposure to data protection and the technology sector.
