Our client, an international law firm, require a Recruitment Coordinator to join their Partner Recruitment Team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Supporting the Partner Recruitment Manager, the purpose of this role is to coordinate the sourcing, attraction, selection, assessment and recruitment process for Legal Resourcing, in line with the overall firm strategy to create and deliver a high performance culture.

The role requires a high degree of professionalism both internally and externally to candidates considering a career with our client, whilst maintaining a positive and honest image of the firm through the recruitment process.  The candidate will have exposure to a wide range of senior people including partners and business services department heads.  The role also involves producing and updating recruitment marketing tools and materials, including the UK careers website, recruitment newsletter and LinkedIn pages, while supporting other departments as and when additional support is required.   The role is likely to suit a graduate with strong administration skills and a natural affinity toward tasks requiring a high level of attention to detail who is keen to develop a career in recruitment and recruitment marketing. Previous relevant work experience is desirable, ideally in a similar working environment such as a law firm or another professional services firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for Legal vacancies under the supervision of the Recruitment Manager.
  • Take first line queries on the telephone and face to face.
  • Liaise with Partners, agencies and candidates on recruitment matters and respond to speculative job application.
  • Manage agency relationships, agency terms and conditions and database of contacts.
  • Responsible for the shared recruitment mailbox.
  • Maintenance of internal recruitment pages.
  • Day to day responsibility for the online recruitment system including processing of candidates and loading of vacancies.
  • Manage and coordinate Legal vacancies, working alongside Partners and Recruitment Agencies as needed.
  • Co-ordinate and send all relevant candidate correspondence.
  • Screen CVs, schedule and participate in interviews.
  • Arrange and co-ordinate testing as part of the assessment process.
  • Record and monitor all stages of candidate's progress from CV review to offer stage.
  • Maintain recruitment spreadsheet of live vacancies.
  • Coordinate the Referendar process for the London office, involving liaising with the German offices and London group managers to organise internships for trainee solicitors.
  • Coordinate the London/Paris Internship programme.
  • Working with the Litigation Manager and Recruitment Manager to coordinate the hiring of locum lawyers and agency paralegals for the Legal Services Centre and the London office as required.

Recruitment Marketing

  • Produce and distribute a monthly e-newsletter to legal recruitment agencies.
  • Manage the content for the UK LinkedIn page, and assist other international offices with uploading vacancies.
  • Act as the main point of contact for other international offices looking to produce LinkedIn pages.
  • Manage the relationship with LinkedIn, completing new training and organising training for other members of the legal resourcing team.
  • Manage updates to both the Associate and Business Development recruitment materials.
  • Manage and update content on the UK careers website, including sourcing and adding new employee profiles on a regular basis.
  • Act as one of the main points of contact in the legal resourcing team for international offices needing assistance with their careers websites.
  • Assist with the organisation of recruitment events.

Administration

  • Ensure consistent maintenance of candidate files and records.
  • Post-hire administration as required.
  • Processing invoices.
  • Liaise with the HR Department to arrange inductions for new joiners. (HR team take the lead on this).
  • Travel arrangements including hotel accommodation and taxi bookings as required.
  • Produce cyclical and one off reports.
  • Gather and collate salary and compensation surveys.

Relationship management

  • Building relationships with agencies on our PSL to ensure their understanding of our requirements and a flow of high calibre applicants.
  • Developing internal relationships with the Partners and other relevant stakeholders.

Process improvements

  • Reviewing and looking for ways to streamline the current recruitment processes, including better use of technology.
  • Assessing and continually reviewing the PSL.
  • Reviewing and negotiating terms of business from the PSL.

Ongoing projects

Involvement in and implementation of a number of key projects from time to time including:

  • Careers site development.
  • Social media recruitment initiatives.
  • Monitor the recruitment spend, tracking agency fees versus 'savings' from direct applicants. Working with the Recruitment Manager to ensure full advantage of opportunities offered for direct recruitment.

  • Work with the Global Head of Partner Recruitment and Integration and Recruitment Manager to formulate, administer and maintain recruiting policies, procedures and practices consistent with the objectives of the firm.
