Property & Contracts Lawyer

Property and Contracts Lawyer required to join a Local Authority located just north of London on a locum basis for an initial 4-5 month period.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to undertake a varied workload in a well-organised local authority. We anticipate that this position will be predominantly dealing with property matters. However, the successful candidate will have experience in both property law and contracts law, as the workload will be split across both areas dependent upon the needs of the Council.

Property work undertaken will involve matters relating to;

• Commercial Property
• Leases
• Surrenders

Alongside this, contracts work handled will include;

• EU Procurement advice
• Frameworks
• Grant funding
• Inter-authority contracts
• Transfer of services

Our client is ideally looking for an established lawyer, confident in handling a large, varied workload, and dealing with cases from beginning-end. Candidates are welcomed to apply from both local authority and private practice backgrounds.
