Our client, an international law firm, require a Recruitment & Resourcing Manager to join their team. Taking overall responsibility for all London office recruitment, this will include partners, associates, marine managers, business services staff, apprentices and trainee solicitors. Working with the London resourcing partners to monitor utilisation and capacity levels, you’ll also ensure trainee solicitors are supported on HR matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the recruitment of partners, qualified lawyers and marine managers including liaising with agencies and candidates, reviewing applications, interviewing and providing feedback.
  • Responsible for the recruitment of business services staff including liaising with line managers to scope roles, briefing agencies, shortlisting candidates and interviewing.
  • Working with the HR Team to ensure that all contracts are issued in line internal policies.
  • Manage and develop the Recruitment Advisor.
  • Overseeing the recruitment of trainee solicitors and the Trainee Recruitment Placement Scheme in conjunction with the Recruitment Advisor.
  • Design and implement innovative approaches to recruitment with a focus on direct sourcing.
  • Regularly meet with the resourcing partners to monitor utilisation and capacity levels within the firm.
  • Point of contact for recruitment queries for all new joiners.
  • Preparing the annual budget for recruitment activities and monitor expenditure.
  • Working together with the Recruitment Advisor in the performance management of trainee solicitors, including conducting appraisals with partners and monitoring performance. Advising trainees of retention or release at the end of training contracts.
  • Arranging for international and client secondments as and when required.
  • Visa process (end to end) for any London employee who does not hold the right to work in the UK.
  • Manage the Sponsorship Management System (SMS) for all visa applications to include updating the Visa Tracker Spreadsheet.
  • Assisting with ad hoc HR projects as and when required.
