Product Liability Solicitor

THE FIRM

Our client is a leading national firm with a strong reputation in insurance litigation work.

THE ROLE

* Assist in the case handling of files for partners
* Manage own small case load of pre litigated and litigated product liability cases
* Review case upon allocation and report to client/prepare internal strategy report as appropriate
* Attend site visits and carry out investigations direct with insured.
* Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
* Comply with Data Protection procedures
* Comply with other relevant policies and procedures

THE PERSON

* Must have knowledge of and experience in defending product liability claims whether personal injury and/or property claims arising from (by way of example) alleged failed components, unsafe products in the work place and claims in connection with a diverse range of other consumer products
* Must have knowledge of consumer and business contracts for the supply of goods and an understanding of the supply chain
* Experience in relation to recalls preferable
* Defendant litigation experience
* Qualified solicitor
* Knowledge of CPR procedures and have proven technical ability and record of achievement.
* Ability to work to deadlines and targets
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative with a flexible approach.
* Knowledge of Lexcel procedure
* Knowledge of interpretation of insurance policies
