Private Client Paralegal – A role has arisen within the Manchester office of this respected corporate / commercial firm for a private client paralegal to support the more senior fee earners within the team. The role is an excellent opportunity to cut their teeth in this area of law with a leading national firm offering excellent training and support.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

• Salary: £15,000 - £18,000
• Reports to: Partner – Head of Private Client
• Previous Experience: Candidates with previous experience of working within a Private Client team would obviously be at an advantage. However, given the junior nature of the role, the firm is looking for applicants from a wide range of backgrounds with excellent academics and a passion for this area of law.

PRIVATE CLIENT PARALEGAL – THE WORK

The department draws its clients from various sources including from its own business development but also from other departments within the firm. A significant portion, of the work also comes from corporate and commercial clients who perhaps own their own businesses or instruct the firm on other matters such as Real Estate.

The successful candidate will assist on a very broad range of matters – everything for administrative duties to drafting documentation to be checked by a more experienced supervisor.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Private client work is certainly quite a technical area of law requiring an appreciation of trusts law and probate. It is also an area which demands a high degree of client contact and care so excellent communication skills and standard of service are a must. The firm is looking for bright candidates, who display the right level of attention to detail together with a genuine enthusiasm and real interest for this area of law.
