The Role
We are now seeking a dynamic and talented Senior Family Lawyer to join our clients’ thriving practice in the Hertford area. Becoming part of a growing team, the successful Lawyer will manage a full and varied caseload of private matrimonial matters with a focus on collaborative law and mediation in order to resolve disputes such as child arrangements, divorce, civil partnership dissolutions and financial remedies. Other aspects will involve negotiating and drafting separation, cohabitation and pre and post-nuptial agreements and undertaking advocacy at family hearings as necessary. In addition, the ideal Lawyer will participate in business development activities to ensure the further growth and success of the department and firm as a whole.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE gained within a well-regarded Family department.
You must have excellent technical skills, with expertise encompassing all aspects of privately-funded matrimonial matters.
You will ideally be a member of Resolution.
You will be able to manage a demanding caseload and assist junior staff where necessary.
An aptitude for business development would be highly advantageous.
You will be driven, client-focused and possess first class interpersonal skills across all levels.
