A leading global law firm with a presence in the world's major financial and commercial markets.
THE ROLE
Within the patent practice which is multi-jurisdictional and predominantly litigious, although it also advises clients in relation to licensing and strategic planning.
In the electronics sector, they advise a variety of clients on both assertion of patents and defence against infringement claims in disputes concerning essential and non-essential technologies.
In conjunction with the Competition Law practice, the practice also advises clients on the overlap between competition law and IP, including on issues such as the availability of injunctions on essential patents and other aspects of FRAND obligations.
ABOUT YOU
You will have gained experience as a patent litigation lawyer, within a top tier firm.
A strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree) with excellent written communication and drafting skills will be essential for this role.
The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4pqe (or equivalent experience) and have a science degree, but this is not essential.
