Education Solicitor Locum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Education Solicitor to join a Local Authority legal team in the Hertfordshire. The assignment is offered for an initial period of 3 months, with the possibility of extension dependent upon work load.

The successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of Education Law, and will have managed their own caseload of matters in a Local Government environment, however candidates from a private practice background will also be considered.

The duties on a day-to-day basis are as follows:

• Managing a busy caseload of Education matters
• Providing legal advice directly to schools on a wide range of matters including pupil expulsion, Special Educational Needs, parental complaints and school admission policies & procedures.
• Attending tribunals where necessary

The position offers between £25-35 per hour and is offered on a full time basis.
