Douglas Scott have recently partnered with an ambitious company within the Property Investment Sector, who are looking to bring their legal function in-house with the recruitment of a sole legal counsel. This role would be a great opportunity for a 3 - 5 year PQE solicitor with experience in Residential Property law and the gravitas to operate as a business' sole legal counsel. Any general commercial experience would be an added bonus but not crucial.

The successful candidate will be responsible for knowing as and when to engage with the company's external solicitors, working with investors and developers on a wide range of activities such as the acquisition/disposal of properties and advising the board and employees on all legal matters within the business' UK operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reporting to the General Counsel in the Republic of Ireland on all UK matters.

Someone with strong commercial acumen will be ideal as part of the role will require knowing when to bring in the help of specialist solicitors and the basis on which to instruct them, so as to get the right advice back from them first time, while ensuring the best use of time and ensuring value for money.

This is a fantastic opportunity to operate at a senior level within an ambitious growing organisation, whilst developing well-rounded commercial experience.
