One of the most respected international leading law firms is recruiting for a Financial Regulation Associate who is NQ-3 years PQE to join their Central London office.
The Financial Regulation Associate will be joining the existing team made up of 3 Partners, 12 Associates and 3 Professional Support Lawyers. The team advises on many of the most complex and innovative projects in the regulated financial services sector.
As a Financial Regulation Associate, your duties will be:
¿ Drafting, reviewing and amending the legal and regulatory aspects of documentation
¿ Advising on a range of financial regulatory issues
¿ Giving financial regulatory advice in a strategic context. For example, advice to general counsel and boards on group structural and/or strategic projects with a material regulatory element
¿ Advising on both conduct matters and regulatory capital and other aspects of prudential regulation (including in a transactional context), particularly in the banking/investment firm and insurance sectors
¿ Reviewing, analysing and providing detailed advice on EU legislation
¿ Providing efficient professional support for partners
¿ Developing professional relationships with clients
¿ Supporting the wider team in developing business and raising the profile of the firm
¿ Managing/supervising the work of others, including trainees.
The ideal candidates required for this position will be:
¿ NQ ¿ 3 years PQE working in a City, major regional or leading international firm
¿ Broad exposure across a range of significant regulatory matters and transactions
¿ Ability to draft, advise and negotiate in relation to complex transactions
¿ Experienced in running negotiations/meetings under minimal supervision
¿ Willingness to present to large and small groups, both internal and external
¿ Strong academic background (the equivalent of high 2.1 or 1st class degree (though not necessarily in law) and AAB at A-level) and a demon
