Personal Injury Claims Handler

Our client is a highly respected legal practice with over 1000 staff in a network of offices nationwide. They are ranked in the Chambers Guide and in the Legal 500 and are currently recruiting for a Legal Executive/Personal Injury Claims Handler to join their Cardiff office. This is a 15 month fixed term contract, salary £36,000- £42,000.

Interested candidates should have at least 2 years' experience of handling personal injury claims including some specialist claims. This should include direct contact with clients, face to face and over the phone and experience of litigating cases effectively. Ideally you will also have trial experience, experience of working with trade unions and of using an electronic case management systems. A good knowledge of law of PI law is essential; this should include knowledge of CPR, rules on evidence, the litigation process and funding. You will also ideally have knowledge of statutory duties relevant to the employer/employee situation and common law relevant to PI.

In this role you will manage a full caseload and will be expected to conduct and manage all aspects of it including taking appropriate daily decisions involving considerable exercise of judgment.
