Landed Estates Senior Lawyer

This firm has a rich heritage dating back over 200 years. They are based in the heart of London's legal district in a very picturesque location. They are ranked highly in the Legal 500 and are top tier across several areas including private client. The firm is award-winning, and many of their Lawyers are ranked as leaders in their field. They have a client base of ultra HNW individuals including many well-known individuals including; Royalty, Members of Government, Celebrities, and senior public figures. The practice has become known as a go-to firm for several areas of law. They now have close to 100 members of staff and have recently bolstered the practice with several heavyweight Senior Partner hires.

They are seeking a new Senior Landed Estates Lawyer to join their flourishing West End office. The current Partner is due to scale back over the next 18 months, and the firm is seeking in the process of succession planning, meaning this role comes with fantastic prospects.

The Private Client department has two sub-departments, the trust and tax sections. In terms of Landed Estates, they act for the owners of over 50 Landed Estates varying in size from 750 acres to well over 30,000 acres, often held in a series of family trusts, some of which are worth over £200 million and many of which include houses and grounds that are open to the public. They act for families whose assets have accumulated over the generations and for entrepreneurs who have generated their own wealth. You will advise on all aspects of rural property, including sales and purchases of farms and estates, and have wide experience of advising on landlord and tenant issues, agricultural tenancies, restrictive covenants, easements, securing development value, farming partnerships, common land, heritage property, sporting rights, alternative energy, minerals and landfill, telecommunications masts and diversification.

• You will be a Landed Estates Lawyer with at least 5 years PQE
• You will have good experience of dealing with a broad Landed Estates caseload
• Ideally, you should work in a well-known department
• There are good prospects attached to this role
