An exciting opportunity has arisen for an In-House Commercial Regulatory Solicitor to join an expanding leading International Financial Organisation. The In-House Commercial Regulatory Solicitor will support an existing team within the West Midlands and will provide legal advice to a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the business.
The successful candidate will already work in-house preferably within a regulated industry by the FCA, will possess a minimum of 3-5 years post qualification experience; or will be a commercial contracts solicitor looking to move away from private practice.
You will have strong experience in drafting large commercial contracts, negotiation, liaising with legal advisers to dictate policy. Consumer credit and Banking experience is desirable but not essential, however the successful candidate will have the ability to broad minded, strategic with a strong ability to problem solve.
Key responsibilities of this role will be to:
Draft and understanding consumer credit documents, with the ability to proof read application forms and consumer credit adverts.
To negotiate contracts and agreements with retailers and suppliers.
To be able to understand and interpret legal guidance, regulatory rules and policy.
The ability to influence management and Senior members of staff with work.
To review and assess risk within contract templates of retailer, acceptor and debt collection agency and recommend appropriate changes where necessary.
