Property Litigation - 5+ PQE - Legal 500/Chambers Ranked - Kent

Our Client, a top tier Legal 500 and Chambers Ranked Practice who are one of the most well-regarded and well-established firms in the Country, are looking for a Property Litigation Solicitor to join their team in Kent.

The firm have a reputation for providing high quality, intelligent advice and a legal service that is comprehensive, considered and confident. With a very strong offering in both private client and commercial law they are ranked in 14 specialist practice areas and have 26 lawyers in their teams recognised as "leaders in their field".

The Dispute Resolution team comprises 2 equity partners, 3 salaried partners, 1 consultant, 3 senior associates (or equivalent), 2 associates, 4 solicitors and 2 trainees. The department covers 6 main disciplines - property disputes, contentious probate & trust, commercial disputes, international disputes, construction and professional negligence. The work comes from a combination of existing clients, referrals from other professionals, client recommendations and internal referrals from other departments. Most property litigation work is for high quality commercial clients and the department is forward-looking in terms of the advice it gives and fee arrangements with clients.

A lawyer at Solicitor or Associate level is sought, having several years' experience in property litigation cases. Consideration will also be given to a transactional lawyer looking to move into contentious practice.

The successful candidate will be expected to have been involved in assisting partners on complex matters and possibly to be running certain matters of their own, depending on the approach of the candidate's current firm. Experience in business development and marketing, and a real enthusiasm to play an active role in business development will be required.

The ideal candidate is likely to come from a well-respected London practice or major regional law firm. The position will suit someone who is ambitious, wanting to undertake high quality specialist work in this field, and keen to play a full part in growing this expanding area of law.
