Senior Counsel- Business Development & Joint Ventures, to be based in the Netherlands
Our client, an international operating company, headquartered in The Netherlands, seeks to appoint a Senior Counsel Business Development & Joint Ventures, to provide legal leadership by supporting global projects and transactions related to business development including in relation to concession agreements, public-private partnerships, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, etc. You will be Partnering with the Portfolio Team managing the existing joint venture portfolio by providing transactional and general legal support and advice. This role will be based in The Hague in the Netherlands and you will directly report to Chief Counsel CPO JV & BDV.
Profile sought
You are a qualified lawyer (with a university degree in law and a post graduate degree/professional qualification) with approximately 5-7 years' experience in an international business environment. Solid transactional (M&A) experience, and understanding and working effectively within and across functional project teams, governmental authorities, potential joint venture partners, investment banks, private parties, financial parties (private equity) etc. is a must. In this position you will partner with the Portfolio Team managing the existing joint venture portfolio by providing transactional and general legal support and advice.
You have excellent written and verbal skills in English and French.
