Sue Ross Legal are currently recruiting for a Legal Support Manager on behalf of our client, a leading Firm of Solicitors based in their York office.

Duties will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery and management of a professional, efficient and high quality secretarial service
  • Continually assessing the effectiveness of processes and procedures
  • Reviewing, prioritising and redistributing work where appropriate
  • Monitoring productivity and work quality of teams and individuals
  • Liaising regularly with partners and Fee Earners to ensure the quality and turnaround of work meets expectations
  • Identify training and development areas and assist to address these
  • Implementation and delivery of salary review to timetable and budget
  • Continually assess support staff requirements to ensure appropriate resource levels across the firm
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of BigHand digital dictation
  • Develop and deliver MI to monitor productivity and performance
  • Implement and continually review procedures
  • Create a clear plan to ensure support staff are developed in the most effective way

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ‘people manager’ – someone who has experience of managing work allocation, recruitment and selection, L&D, relationship building, working within a Law Firm, Microsoft Office and IT packages, ideally with a minimum typing speed of 60wpm.
