Litigation Executive-RTA

The Opportunity;
Slater & Gordon is currently recruiting for an Experienced Fee earner who has worked within RTA as a Paralegal or Litigation Executive to join our successful team in Sheffield.
Working as part of our international consumer law firm, this presents an exciting opportunity for a legal professional, experienced in running a Serious and Specialist Injury caseload who is looking to establish a career and develop further within this department.

Responsibilities to include;
* Manage an existing caseload of portal and non-portal RTA FT PI claims
* Conduct client interviews
* Instruct medical experts, review medical reports and arrange medical treatment as well as oversee the payment of related invoices.
* Undertake the valuation of claims for general damages
* Draft documents in preparation of court proceedings and attend final court hearings where appropriate.
* Prepare instructions to counsel
* Liaise with clients and all related third parties effectively in writing and over the telephone

About You;
Applicants must be able to demonstrate proven experience of running a PI case load of fast track, RTA claims (portal and none portal) and of litigating fast track cases to trial. This could be at Paralegal/case handler level.
Knowledge of law and procedure appertaining to RTA claims is essential as is experience of using a case management system and Microsoft office Excel, Word & Outlook.
