Legal Counsel, Corporate, 5+ PQE, Dublin

My client is a private equity firm focusing on complex focusing on complex deals including turnaround and the acquisition of profitable underperformers or business portfolios. An opportunity has arisen for a lawyer to join the business in Dublin, working closely alongside the portfolio companies.

Your role will involve working with the investment team in the course of M&A buy-side and sell-side transactions, including due diligence, acquisition and financing. You will also provide support to selected portfolio companies, with a particular focus on corporate and insolvency matters. You will also manage external counsel.

The successful candidate will have at least five year's post-qualification experience working in the corporate team of a well-regarded law firm or in-house. Ideally you will have experience of UK law as well as advising on an international basis. The ideal candidate will have a structured and thorough working method, and also be pragmatic and results oriented. You will have strong negotiation skills and entrepreneurial personality.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Irish qualified lawyer or a UK qualified lawyer looking to relocate to Dublin to undertake a transactional role in the private equity space. You will work autonomously and gain exposure to a range of high-quality work.
