What is the Role?

My clients European companies are rapidly growing and evolving and require dedicated in-house legal support. You would be the sole legal counsel for German speaking companies, supporting in a wide variety of general corporate, commercial and employment issues. You will also be responsible for helping the businesses prepare for the new Data Protection Regulation. Although you will be the sole legal counsel you would be working with and supported by a strong legal and data privacy team around you in London.

Responsibilities

• Advise on, draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts across the promoter, ticketing, concerts and venues businesses and including those relating to for example purchasing/supply, property, software licensing, support and maintenance, competitions and prize draws, sponsorship, marketing, advertising, event production, venue hire and artist contracts.
• Advise on a variety of issues facing an entertainment and ecommerce consumer facing company such as consumer regulations and intellectual property.
• Advise on all employment related matters, including Works Council management
• Perform the Data Protection Officer role in Germany in light of the new General Data Protection Regulation. In data privacy matters you would report to the SVP International Data Privacy as well as to local MDs

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with experiance of drafting in German.
• A solid grounding in commercial law, contract law and intellectual property law.
