Our client is a diverse, successful global business looking to hire a pragmatic commercial contracts lawyer to join its small and very busy international legal team.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for advising on and transacting commercial agreements, flagging and highlighting areas of risk, and providing training to the business on applicable areas of law.
Your role will be to support the Head of Legal on critical contracts; drafting, advising on, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements of varying size and complexity (e.g. IPR licenses, distribution and marketing agreements, Joint ventures, etc.). You will also be called upon to support due-diligence relating to corporate deals and some business as usual, operational contracts. In addition, you will keep track of the contracts process including managing the life cycle of contracts.
You will be a qualified solicitor currently working either in private practice or in-house. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years PQE with a strong commercial contracts background. Experience of working on complex, high value, international commercial agreements is desirable. Ideally you will have the ability to speak Spanish to an advanced level.
With an ability to work autonomously and in a consultative manner you must also be a skilled communicator and influencer with a strong delivery-focused approach, capable of interacting with the business at all levels.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile and progressive business at a level which offers great scope to carve out a successful career within the organisation. You will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and the chance to work autonomously in a collegial and meritocratic environment.
