I am recruiting for a US firm with a global energy practice – they are looking to take on a strong newly qualified lawyer to join the team.   They do a mixture of complex financing and corporate energy transactions in the energy space, they have a very well established oil & gas practice, and a growing presence in both conventional and renewable power.  

In terms of jurisdictions, they work globally, with particularly deep relationships in the middle east and sub-Saharan Africa.  

As a junior, you will enjoy a very broad spread of work across both finance and corporate, and you will have a very thorough grounding before you are expected to specialise, which many will see as beneficial. 

The culture is friendly, and the team is collegiate, and they don’t have a culture expecting associates to “show face” in the office, when they aren’t as busy.     You will ideally be a magic circle NQ, but they will take applications from trainees that feel that they have the right aptitude and grounding.
