INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT Lawyer / Legal Counsel
Our client, a leading Investment Manager is seeking a mid-level funds Lawyer / Legal Counsel to join the team on a permanent basis. Working as part of a small team of Legal Counsel / Lawyers you will undertake a range of work with close liaison with the wider business.
The role:
Funds or Investment Management Lawyer / Legal Counsel to undertake the following:
- Drafting, negotiate and execute investment fund documentation including IMAs, depositary agreements, broker terms
- Fund documentation review, including prospectus
- Drafting and negotiating distribution agreements, platform agreements and distribution related documents
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers
- Attend and actively participate at various forums and committees
- Liaising with external counsel on various fund related and commercial matters
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the role will be a qualified Lawyer or Legal Counsel with;
- 2-5 years PQE+ * Experience as a Lawyer / Legal Counsel gained within financial services / asset management or a within a funds, investment management or financial services team within private practice
- Knowledge and understanding IMAs, Distribution agreements and broader commercial contracts
- Demonstrable regulatory knowledge and practical application of the FCA Handbook (Esp. COBS, COLL).
- Irish fund law experience would be advantageous
