The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and self-motivated Paralegal to join our clients’ well-regarded Family department in the Barking area. Working closely with senior members of the department, the successful Paralegal will undertake a varied and challenging workload incorporating attending and advising clients on all aspects of family and children matters with a bias towards publicly funded matters; and assisting with the preparation of more complex matters. In addition, the ideal Paralegal will attend clients at other offices within the region.

The Candidate
You must be a Paralegal with at least 12 months’ solid experience gained within a reputable Family department.
You must have excellent technical skills to include a good working knowledge of current Legal Aid regulations.
You will have excellent academics with at least a 2:1 at degree level and have completed the LPC.
You will be organised with strong drafting and IT skills.
You will be a team player with excellent client care and communication skills.
You will be able to manage a demanding workload with minimal supervision, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
You will be personable, professional and flexible with a detail-orientated approach.
