In House Counsel

We are seeking a Banking and Finance Lawyer to join our client, a well-established leasing/business finance company in the Zone 6 area. The desired candidate will be a lawyer with experience in receivables financing, secured lending or restructuring and insolvency within a Finance practice at a law firm or the equivalent within a Financial Services organisation.

ROLE:

This role will be dynamic and challenging and include a variety of work such as:

• Provide legal support and advice to the Company’s trading divisions (vehicle leasing, business finance and invoice finance).
• Draft, review and negotiate the terms of deals and find workable solutions to commercial issues. 
• Manage the delivery for the financial solutions particularly the structuring of transactions etc.
• Advice the Company’s trading divisions on developments in the law in order to minimise legal risk and ensure that the Company continues to comply with legal requirements.
• Provide legal support to the sales teams to help win business.

CANDIDATE

• A lawyer with experience gained within a Finance practice at a law firm or the equivalent within a Financial Services organisation.
• Experience in the financial services/ leasing industry with a focus on vendor finance and receivables finance will be ideal but not essential.
• Candidates with exposure to secured lending or restructuring/insolvency will be considered for this role
