Do you have experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager in a law firm or large professional services firm such as the Big 4 or a property company? An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Business Partner or HR Manager to join a leading City law firm in London. With responsibility for a number of various Practice Groups and leading on Employee Relations issues, you will require previous experience in a similar role.  Working in a HR team of 20 in total, you will be looking after a client group of c.400 across various Practice Groups including Lawyers and Business Services and working alongside 2 other HR Business Partners, supported by a team of 4 HR Advisers.

The role is particularly varied and includes acting as first point of contact for Partners and Lawyers on all HR related issues, attending meetings to advise on HR budgets, performance management, employee issues, absence management, HR strategy and policies.  You will also be working closely with the Resourcing team to advise on job specifications, interviewing, monitoring probation periods, managing the appraisal and salary review process, setting objectives, working closely with the Learning & Development team and Reward team, making recommendations to Partners, reviewing HR policies and procedures, recommending changes, training and coaching Line Managers and advising on ER issues as well as leading on individual cases.  

You will need to have up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and the confidence to handle complex ER cases.  We are only able to consider applicants who meet all of the above requirements. Salary is £80-85k.
