Fantastic new opening for an ambitious, highly motivated specialist Construction Law solicitor looking to work with the best clients on the most interesting work but at the same time with all the location and work/life balance benefits of a life down in Devon.
Our client is a leading Top 30 national practice with an enviable team and reputation for their Construction Law work, both transactional and contentious. The overall team is nearly 30 lawyers strong and this particular opportunity will be working with the small team based in the firm's Devon office including working closely alongside a lead Partner who is well known in this area. The work spans all the major sectors for the firm's focus including retail, energy, transport and infrastructure etc, and the team is a core and vital part of the firm's offering in the market which is incredibly important when it comes to assessing the long term prospects for personal growth and career progression including partnership.
The ideal candidate is going to be able to run their own matters with limited if any supervision and will enjoy being client-facing and a vital experienced member of the team. Ideally you will have both transactional and contentious experience and will be looking to carry on with both but they can consider candidates who come from one or other backgrounds and especially if the main focus of your career to date has been on the transactional side as that is definitely an area where the team has a huge amount of new work coming in regularly.
Our client is keen to review CV's as soon as possible and they are happy to receive 'no commitment' enquiries so even if you just fancy a chat and a coffee with the team initially, in confidence and to gauge whether this might be for you, they are only too happy to do so. It is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who is looking to forge their own high profile as a lawyer in the Construction sector, and especially if you may be already based in the South West or may be looking to potentially move to the region at some point during 2017.
For more information about this position, in confidence, please contact Matthew Goodwin at Chadwick Nott.
