Locum Adult Solicitor

An excellent opportunity for a Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor has arisen in Buckinghamshire. The assignment is offered for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of extension. This is a full time position.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with previous experience specialising in Adult law, ideally from a Local Authority background.

The duties for this role are as follows;

• Handling a caseload of complex legal matters with minimal supervision
• Mental capacity, accommodation, contact, medical treatment and deprivation of liberty matters particularly within the context of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Judicial Reviews, both pre-action and in proceedings in respect of a wide variety of adult social care matters
• Social care debt matters including defense of claims in the County Court
• Advising clients on legal matters
• Drafting a variety of legal documents to include applications and letters

The position offers a daily rate of £35 - £40 per hour which will be dependant on experience. This could be negotiable.
