Your new company
A prestigious and independent Law firm in the Leicestershire region are looking to grow their IP team further. The team receive numerous accolades in the legal directories and recently won an award in the Legal 500. This firm is different from your usual City or National firm. Recently relocating their offices, this firm has an appetite to grow.


Your new role
The firm is seeking a 2-6 years PQE Solicitor specialising in IP law. A high proportion of our work relates to trade marks and trade mark applications, and they also deal with a high number of trade mark opposition and disputes. You will get involved in making applications for UK an EU.


What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally come from a commercial law firm with good standing. The candidate should have good drafting skills (with experience of preparing licences, assignments, undertakings, collaboration agreements). In terms of litigation, should have experience of preparing bundles, drafting instructions to Counsel, and preparing evidence (and ideally experience of seeing cases through to trial). The candidate should have experience of both contentious and non-contentious IP, but any particular expertise or specialism would be of interest. They would come in as an assistant or (if a particularly good candidate) an associate. The ideal candidate will have sharp technical skills.
