Senior Business Development Executive

 

This expanding international law firm with an excellent reputation across the legal sector wish to hire an ambitious senior Business Development professional looking to further their career in a forward thinking environment.

 

Working in the London based BD and marketing headquarters, the successful individual will work closely with Partners in the Construction practice group, supporting the Senior BD Manager with improving the existing strategy whilst working on al BD initiatives. You will also work closely with the wider marketing teams both in the London and overseas offices.

 

Duties include;

  • Assisting, and when necessary, taking the lead on business development and marketing activities for the Construction practice, ensuring their profile is promoted both internally and externally
  • Develop key account relationships and drive revenue growth
  • Develop strong and influential relationships with partners and fee earners to understand business objectives, the construction practice group, researching client and target activity as well as trends in specific market segments and identify cross selling opportunities
  • Draft pitches, proposals and capability documents which respond to specific client/target requests
  • Working collaboratively with the central marketing team, ensure the Construction practice group is effectively integrated in cross selling activities

·         Work with wider BD team on the continual development of the firm’ client programme

·         Working collaboratively with the Marketing Communications team, devise and implement an effective PR plan with a view to positioning the practice as a thought leader

·         Working with the central marketing team, manage the requirements for all marketing materials and activities in support of the business development programme for the practice, including brochures, client/market research, directory submissions, website content, client bulletins/briefings, seminars, and conferences.

 

 

Key Skills & Experience required;

·         Educated to degree level and equivalent industry experience within a law firm or International construction company

·         Proven ability of working across all levels of business, preferably within a multi-jurisdictional environment

·         Demonstrable experience of initiating and implementing successful business development and marketing communications activities, including managing and leading integrated sector-focused and client development plans; developing and implementing business plans; managing pitch process;

·         Strong delivery focus, with a track record of doing so to deadlines.

·         Proactive individual with excellent organisation/project management skills.

·         Strong interpersonal skills including oral/written communications, influencing, diplomacy, flexibility, tenacity.

·         Ability to work on own initiative, show innovation and develop projects.

·         Strong IT skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, InterAction (or similar CRM database).

·         Some team leading experience desirable
