Senior Manager, Document Review Services - London 

Job Description:

The Manager of Document Review Services provides operational and project level oversight for duties associated with the Document Review facility in London including assisting the Senior Director with the following:

1) fulfilment of substantive, operational requirements to meet client needs,

2) management of facilities to provide an environment suitable for effective, quality reviews, and

3) management of the project management teams.

Substantive Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the key point of contact among the document review team, electronic discovery team and outside counsel as appropriate on assigned projects.
  • Assists in developing and performing training for other Project Managers and reviewers.
  • Manages the review process from inception through production.
  • Assists in operations needs for the Document Review offices.
  • Monitors reviewer accuracy and productivity.
  • Continually assess review and search protocols to drive greater quality and efficiency in reviews.
  • Direct communication with clients during project kick off phase and throughout reviews as appropriate.
  • Provide client-facing support to the Sales and Marketing team in representing Document Review business operations and facilities.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Effectively fulfil recruiting/staffing needs for review projects (with assistance from recruiting team).
  • Build a strong, diverse pool of known, trusted and dependable contract lawyers in the European market.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient administration of day to day office operations.
  • Provide oversight of time entry and collection process ensuring timeliness and accuracy of data.
  • Provide accurate verification and approval of monthly invoices.
  • Monitor project work schedules and office utilization to ensure maximization of space and operations.

Qualifications:

  • Prior litigation practice or litigation support experience at prominent law firm or corporation, including oversight/management of large scale document review projects.
  • Experience (5+ years) in litigation discovery, with a focus on electronic discovery.
  • Previous legal qualification and practice in at least one Jurisdiction required.
  • Extensive experience with various technology platforms involved in document review, as well as with “review accelerators” and “technology assisted review” software and process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
  • Successful experience as a manager of people.
  • Ability to multi-task, wear many hats and perform in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills.
