In-House Legal Counsel- Financial Products, 5+ PQE, Edinburgh/ Glasgow/ London

Highly regarded UK bank is seeking to hire a Banking Products Lawyer with circa 5+ years PQE to join their highly successful in-house legal team. This role can be based in Edinburgh, Glasgow or London. 

Role Profile: 

You will manage legal risk and provide commercially focused legal advice on products and product development, processes and policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and input on innovative online customer journeys, including mobile apps using technology to enhance the customer experience;
• Advise on operational matters across the bank including change requests and process reviews;
• Build relationships and deliver training with the product and regulatory risk teams.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified solicitor with a circa 5 years experience;

Significant experience in advising on  Banking products and drafting consumer contracts, payments and digital would be beneficial;

Detailed knowledge of the key relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, technical interpretation and the ability to provide advice, including an in depth expertise in Consumer Credit Acts, ICOBs and relevant consumer legislation.

Practical in-house experience of providing solution focused advice.
