In House Legal Counsel / Lawyer Job, Pharmaceuticals, London

Your new company
An international pharmaceuticals company whose products are sold and distributed in over 100 countries. My client is looking for an experienced 5+ PQE Commercial Lawyer, ideally from a Life Sciences background, to join their legal team on an 8-10 month interim assignment. Start date - asap.

Your new role
Reporting to Chief Counsel for Europe, you will be the primary legal business partner for the UK and Ireland, sitting on both the compliance committee and regional leadership team. You will be required to analyse legal and commercial risks and effectively advise senior teams as appropriate. You will draft and negotiate various commercial agreements, including contracts for the supply of goods and services. You will also facilitate the roll out of training on policies and processes in areas such as Data Protection, Compliance and Contracting.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a 5+ PQE lawyer with professional training in corporate/commercial law or health care law, gained at a highly regarded law firm or in-house position. Experience advising and/or working in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred as is knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice. You will also demonstrate a proactive approach and have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider international legal function.
