Banking Paralegal

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and hardworking Banking Paralegal to join a standout firm in a prime Newcastle location. You will assist on high quality banking and financial litigation matters in one of the largest full service firms in the North East. The ideal candidate will have previous banking experience and looking to specialise in this field.

Our client is also open to receiving applications from enthusiastic Paralegals with experience in the corporate sector or alternatively a paralegal with commercial property experience who has managed the finances in relation to the property and think they would enjoy a move into Banking. The most important requirement is that you have a demonstrable enthusiasm to specialise your long-term career within the banking sector.

The Role:

• This is a standout role where you will work closely with two highly skilled solicitors on a broad range of Banking and Financial Litigation matters.
• This will cover areas such as unsuitable investments, inaccurate financial advice, mis-selling claims and claims relating to unauthorised payments.
• You will work on high quality matters and take on a pivotal role in the team supporting the solicitors.
• This role also requires involvement with the firms other specialist departments such as corporate recovery and insolvency so you will gain lots of varied exposure.

The Candidate:

• The ideal candidate is a paralegal with banking experience however paralegals with commercial property experience who have assisted with the finances of a property will also be considered.
• This role is ideal for someone who has a real interest in Banking and Financial Litigation work who wants to assist on high quality files.
• You will be required to support two highly skilled solicitors and it is therefore essential you can once trained in certain elements of banking will pick things up quickly.
• You should want to specialise in this area.
