Senior Counsel - Data Privacy

A leading global facilities management organisation is currently seeking a Senior Counsel - Data Privacy in a newly created role based in Central London. This position has a broad remit across the EMEA region and will involve some travel across UKI & Europe. The preference is for a permanent hire, but the General Counsel will also consider contract lawyers for the position.

Taking the lead, integral role on Data Privacy you will be responsible for:

- rolling out GDPR requirements across the business including project management, implementation and training

- establishing a robust data privacy and compliance programme for UK&I, developing training materials, policies, and processes

- acting as an advisor to the business on best practice and supporting the wider legal team in relation to DP queries

- reporting risk and compliance metrics to the management team

You will be a qualified lawyer, 7 years PQE + as a guide with substantial experience in data privacy. You will have strong demonstrable technical knowledge of DP requirements, GDPR and be able to work effectively within a large, global and complex organisation. European language skills and CIPP/E certifications would be advantageous.
