Senior Software / IT Counsel - Global Business

Our client is a large, well-known business with operations globally. They enjoy an excellent reputation as a market leader and progressive employer. And they continue to grow regionally and internationally. 

A new opportunity now exists for an experienced software / ICT lawyer to join the company. You will be responsible for addressing IT legal issues and promoting IP awareness across the business with specific focus on IT and software related matters. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Negotiating /  drafting contractual terms and supporting the commercial and procurement functions 
• Assisting with the development of the company’s IT strategy
• Managing legal risk associated with the handling and storage of information 
• Assisting the businesses in implementing Group IP policy for IT and software related matters

For consideration you must:

• Be a UK qualified solicitor with current practising certificate
• Possess relevant post-qualification experience gained with a reputable law firm
• Have prior in-house experience  
• Possess technology, IP and outsourcing experience
• Have solid procurement of IT systems and services experience
• Be able to manage and advise on complex software licensing matters on a large scale
