Director of Legal & Company Secretary

Sacco Mann is privileged to be working alongside one of Yorkshire's most dynamic and exciting businesses, which is looking to recruit a Head of Legal and Company Secretary to lead their established and highly regarded In-house legal team.

This very successful PE backed business requires an equally ambitious and driven individual, to help steer them into their next exciting phase.

We are looking for an exceptional lawyer with a stellar pedigree who is likely to be working for either a top-tier international law firm, or In-house for a recognised business/brand. Equally importantly however will be your drive, commerciality, fit with the business and ability and skills to manage and guide an established legal team. We are as interested to speak to those candidates with a corporate/transactional background, as those with more typical company commercial experience. This is much more than a typical In-house role or legal department.

This is an autonomous role reporting into the CFO which will offer the successful candidate a broad ranging General Counsel scope that incorporates: company secretarial duties, commercial, M&A/funding and compliance responsibilities. The person will work closely with the CEO, CFO and senior management team, working very much at the heart of the business.

The successful candidate will play an extremely significant part in the overall strategic direction of the business and be expected to offer commercial oversight to the board, senior management and private equity sponsors.
