Private Client Solicitor

Are you a Solicitor with a wealth of experience in Private Client work? Are you looking for the opportunity to join a smaller, high street practice where you can work closely with your clients and be able to add real value to them? If so, this role is for you. Our client is a well-established and highly regarded, high street practice based in Barnsley and is looking for a private client solicitor to add to its small team.

This role is really going to suit someone who enjoys a high street environment, having a small office and working really closely with a variety of clients. The firm is currently thinking about succession planning for its private client department and in the short term future there will be the opportunity to head the department. This is a great opening for someone who is keen to join a practice that blends a traditional service with opportunity to develop going forward.

The Role:
Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running with their own caseload of Private Client work, under minimum supervision.
Your work will cover a wide variety of Private Client matters. This will include anything from simple will writing through to estate administration, lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection work. There will even be an element of trust work, which is unusual for a firm of this size.
The firm has a really strong reputation having being established in the Barnsley market for a number of years and as a result the majority of its clients are established on the back of recommendation and reputation.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role would have a depth of experience in this practice area, as well as around 3 years PQE. However this is just a guideline and candidates that fall outside of this bracket are encouraged to apply.
This role would suit someone who sees a long term career in this practice area who wants to progress.
Excellent communication skills are a necessity for this role, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients from varied backgrounds.
