Our client, a well regarded and long established firm based in West Yorkshire is currently looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor for their Leeds office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a mixed caseload of commercial litigation files. Experience in contentious probate, professional negligence, and contentious insolvency is desirable. You will be expected to demonstrate experience in dealing with medium/high net worth cases and have the ability to work autonomously.
You will be responsible for dealing with correspondence in a timely manner, ensuring all files are prepared in line with the firms Lexcel requirements. You will have the ability to fully prepare for all interviews and court appointments in order that you can professionally and competently represent the firms clients.
You will have a sound understanding of the local economy and demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness. You will be responsible for tracking competitor fee levels and service packages. In addition you will be responsible for ensuring that all clients are dealt with courteously and expeditiously, promoting a favourable image of the firm at all times.
The successful candidate will be a keen networker and proactively assist with the development and marketing of the Commercial department, working closely with the firms Business Development and Marketing Managers. A Commercial Litigation Solicitor 8+ years PQE would be a great match for this position.
