Private Client Solicitor (5 + years PQE) - Hertfordshire - Legal 500

Exclusive Instruction: We are currently recruiting for a respected firm in Hertfordshire. An Experienced solicitor with a strong technical background is sought to join our busy Private Client Team.   The office is long established with a large client base and Will bank.  It is a busy role so the ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

We anticipate that the preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE and be able to handle a mixed caseload of private client work, in particular Wills, administration of Estates, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work and Tax planning.

STEP / SFE qualification would be advantageous and it is essential that the candidate is able to undertake marketing and practice development initiatives. Ability to work on own initiative essential but with the support of a larger team behind them

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To manage an agreed case-load of client work in consultation with Head of Private Client;
• To process clients’ instructions on a timely and cost effective basis;
• To build strong relationships with clients;
• Providing a professional service whilst being compassionate when dealing with sensitive issues;
• To bill and to collect debts and collect all outstanding disbursements in advance;
• To maintain professional standards;
• To use the correct office systems and procedures in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firms’ standards;
