About the Legal Counsel role:
You will provide support on a wide variety of legal queries and areas.
Including:
- Reviewing and drafting a wide variety of commercial contracts.
- Review and negotiate the terms and conditions in agreements with customers and suppliers for the supply of products and associated services, primarily with respect to the EMEA region, as well as provide other general legal support, as directed.
- Review, modify and negotiate equipment supply and service contract terms and conditions with customers and suppliers in order to protect the company and its affiliates from unreasonable exposure to liability.
- Support departments within the company regarding contractual issues and keep their supervisor informed of issues, problems, and/or unique situations related to specific contract reviews and negotiations.
- Liaising with external law firms as appropriate
You should be a team player, client focused and a good communicator with a strong practical approach to your workload. A commitment of delivering quality service is essential, as is the ability to juggle the demands of a busy workload in this Legal Counsel role.
You will be a UK qualified solicitor from a City or large regional practice (or overseas equivalent) and may have a minimum of 2 years PQE with evidence of excellent training within commercial law/commercial contracts but this does not preclude someone with more qualified experience from applying for the role. Prior in-house experience would be an advantage but not a prerequisite. The ability to speak and write in German, or another European language,would be an advantage.
