Job Overview:

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of North America Delivery, this role is accountable for the management of Mindcrest’s delivery operation in London. This person is accountable to partner across the organization and externally with clients to deliver high quality outcomes. This role will partner with our other delivery centers in the planning and execution of various legal services projects, with a focus on disputes and investigations document review. This person is accountable to work with Human Resources (HR) to hire, train and staff all projects for our UK clients. This role will lead the team in the use of Mindcrest’s tools and process to deliver the highest quality work product to our clients.

This person will be the focal point for all operational issues arising from our UK clients and our work in London. This person will partner with local HR and functional leaders across the organization to address all operating issues as they arise.

Reporting to this person will be all Associate Lawyers assigned to any specific project.

Key Results/Outcomes

  • Project Management: This role is accountable for overall project management, including planning, day-to-day management, quality assurance and communication. This includes completion of established tools and execution of processes needed to manage projects to conclusion. This role is also accountable for effective staffing of projects. This role will also ensure that projects are managed in a rigorous manner to drive accountability and high quality. The role will participate in a planning process for each project, designed to correctly identify the scope of the project, and to staff, train, and manage the project appropriately within that scope. The role will partner with Finance to ensure projects meet their expected profitability targets. This role will ensure that all issues are escalated in a timely fashion and will ensure that all reporting and scorecards are completed as needed. Moreover, this role will drive excellent communication internally and externally.
  • Quality Assurance: This role is accountable for the management of the quality plan and the Quality Assurance team. This role will partner within the organization in the design of the quality methodology for each project. They will ensure that quality reports are shared as needed and adjustments to the process and team members are made as required.
  • Communication: This role is accountable for internal and external communication for each project. They will ensure that daily and weekly progress of product production and quality are reported. They will ensure that all issues are escalated as appropriate. They will manage all client site visits. They will engage with business development professionals and the practice teams across the organization to ensure client needs are met with the highest level of service.
  • Training: This role is accountable to partner across the organization and with clients to ensure all necessary training is provided to ensure exceptional quality work product. This person will also partner with Mindcrest University as necessary to ensure all team members are trained. This role is accountable to ensure that training needs are identified and shared within the organization.

Experience/Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong project management skills (includes process orientation, reporting and attention to detail), client management skills, people management skills
  • Experience in managing large document review projects in disputes and investigations, particularly involving financial institutions, and a familiarity with bank documentation which is reviewed in such matters.
  • Additional key competencies for this role: Leadership, resource management, budgeting
  • Prior experience in litigation document review and/or prior experience in large scale contract abstraction or review
  • Prior Legal Services experience a strong plus
  • Experience with document review and/or contract management technology
  • Superior ability to manage and motivate large teams
  • Entrepreneurial orientation a strong plus
  • Experience: 6 – 10 years of PQE
  • Education: Law degree required
