Description

A small but well known Banking team in Birmingham is looking to recruit a solicitor to join their team. The Banking team has grown significantly nationally over the last 5 years and are now on most of the major bank panels in the Midlands market.

This is an opportunity for a solicitor who is maybe working within a larger team and struggling to make an impact - i.e. there is a ceiling in terms of promotion prospects or there is a lack of quality work filtering down to them.

The Birmingham team is small and headed by a Senior Partner who is well known and Legal 500 rated in the Birmingham market. The team has grown over the last few years and now competes against the bigger international firms for work. The firm is a national practice so the culture reflects this - you won't be working the relentless international practice hours.

You will have the opportunity to run deals and transactions yourself (under supervision where needed) and will be the point of contact for the team's finance clients.

The workload will also be mixed, meaning you won't be pigeonholed into one particular area. The team act on secured lending, asset finance, corporate M&A support work amongst others.

Profile

Ideally you'll have at least 1 years' experience on a mix of Banking & Finance matters. The team will be open minded for the right person and will consider all candidates with a range of PQE. Relocating solicitors from the London market will also be considered.
