A Planning Solicitor with in excess of 6 years of PQE is sought by a Mid Tier Commercial firm based in Manchester. Competitive salary and excellent work life balance on offer in this award winning Manchester based planning department.

My client is a high profile North West law firm whose expertise covers the full spectrum of commercial and private client legal services and its lawyers are recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers as experts in their fields. They now have a new requirement for a Planning Lawyer with 6 or more years PQE to join their expanding team in Manchester.

They provide contentious and non-contentious planning advice, working with local authorities, successfully negotiating s106 planning obligations, brownfield redevelopment work and planning enforcement. The Planning department is a key Practice area for the Firm and It is essential the chosen Planning Solicitor has experience of Planning and Highway Law and who is keen to broaden and deepen their knowledge in this area. Having strong commercial awareness, you'll be advising on planning, CIL, Affordable housing and highway issues and conversely possess an appreciation of Developer requirements. Drafting and legal research experience is key and there will be involvement in business development initiatives.

The client is looking for a personable, self-motivated, commercially-focused Planning Solicitor to join an award winning, friendly team. You will play a key role in the team and be encouraged to develop your own practice/ contacts in a supportive environment, through offering your own organisational skills and methodical approach.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate your skills with relevant experience with commercial clients in a similar environment. Candidates from a local authority background or candidates with varying PQE will also be considered. A following of business is not required, although will be reflected in the salary expectations.
