COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS SOLICITOR / ASSOCIATE – MANCHESTER

Commercial Solicitor / Associate – A new position has arisen to work directly with the recently promoted Commercial Partner of this leading national firm. You will be an experienced commercial solicitor looking for a real step up and the chance to be involved in all areas of fee earning as well as business development. This is an incredibly exciting role offering high quality work and the chance to play an integral part in this new team.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

• Job title: Commercial Associate / Senior Associate
• Location: Manchester
• Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
• Reports to: Partner
• Previous Experience: An experienced solicitor preferably from the top or mid-tier with proven experience of advising on a range of matters. Procurement experience would be useful, but by no means essential. You will be working alongside a recently promoted Partner and be expected to hit the ground running.

OUR CLIENT

Our client is a leading national and international firm, which has a vibrant commercial department, advising clients on a full range of commercial matters – everything from sale and distribution agreements, franchise arrangements, IP/IT etc. This particular team is headed up by a recently promoted Partner and also deals with public sector clients and companies who deal in public sector. As a result, experience of procurement regulations would be advantageous, but is not absolutely crucial.

The Partner in question is highly regarded adviser to a number of multinational listed companies and is noted in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500. The successful candidate will be working directly with this individual in what is a relatively new and growing team, so expect to be involved at all levels of fee earning but also business development.

COMMERCIAL SOLICITOR – PQE AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate is expected to be able to hit the ground running as this is a busy team. The brief states that commercial solicitors wishing to apply should have around 1 PQE - 5 PQE. That said, our client does not wish to be to prescriptive, so experience parameters should be interpreted broadly.

What is key is that the candidate is the right cultural ‘fit’ and is looking for a real challenge. The work on offer is second-to-none and offers the chance to be noticed in a rapidly developing team.
