Commercial Property Partner - No Following Required
A highly regarded full service national law firm has now commenced an expansion drive of its Birmingham city centre office. Consequently, the firm is looking to appoint an ambitious, talented and experienced Commercial Property Solicitor at Partner level to its Real Estate Team in Birmingham,
This Legal 500 listed practice has a very strong offering and operates in both the commercial and private sectors. The firm boasts an envied client list and is also the proud recipient of a host of awards demonstrating exactly why major bodies recognise the firm as one of the best law firms to work for.
The firms' Real Estate Team acts for an extensive list of heavyweight clients that are both national and international entities and the team offers the full spectrum of commercial property expertise to include commercial property, residential development, real estate finance, fund management and investment regeneration and retail.
The firm has grown its client base in recent years and is on a very sound financial footing, as opposed to some of its more highly geared competitors. Consequently, the firm is keen to further increase its standing in the market with the addition of a Commercial Property Partner.
This opportunity differentiates itself from others in that the partners here work as an aligned group and the philosophy is very much that clients come first with management coming a distant second and politics being absolutely left by the way side. The firm operates a flat structure and will absolutely not tolerate any form of arrogance or pomposity which allows its members to demonstrate their individual skills and talent without fear of them being shackled, as you may be experiencing in your current role.
As such the practice is particularly keen to hear from partners at established Top 100 law firms who have a portable following and who are perhaps disillusioned with their current role and who want to be unleashed to actually deal with their clients as they see fit and have the freedom to shape their practice area but who are perhaps unable to do any of this because of being constrained by very rigid internal policies.
This is a rare opportunity for a partner who has attained the title in their current firm but who has then realised that there's an even stricter pyramid structure to negotiate with no realistic chance of ever having anything other than equity being drip feed to you as an incentive to further perform year on year.
Equally, you may be an Associate or Senior Associate that is frustrated at being overlooked for promotion over recent years and, if that is the case, this opportunity is well worth exploring.
The firm is truly a meritocratic organisation and is in a very strong financial position. It can offer long term security and will offer exposure to high calibre work which you can often leverage off. You will receive a very competitive remuneration package and benefits package and will also be able to take advantage of a lucrative bonus scheme whilst working in an autonomous environment with very little in the way of KPIS and targets.
