Head of Department - Family - Lancashire - £50-£80k

We are looking for a senior solicitor who is capable of running a family law team as part of succession planning for a highly regarded law firm in East Lancashire.

The current incumbent is approaching retirement age and they are keen to find a successor who has the passion, drive and motivation to take up the reigns and drive the department forward.

You will need to have a proven track record of dealing with divorce and ancillary relief work for private paying individuals and ideally have management or at least mentoring experience.

The ideal candidate would be a solicitor with several years of experience within divorce / family law and have a dynamic and outgoing personality and excel at networking. This is seen as a pivotal role within the firm and they are looking for an individual to invigorate and grow the family law team. In an ideal world you would have a following of work and/or be a "name" in the market to be able to attract work. They are not expecting someone to turn up with a book of work from day 1 but they are looking for a dynamic individual who can go out and bring work in which will enable the department to grow.

This a rare opportunity with a well regarded firm to take on an exciting role with great prospects - would lead to partnership for the right candidate. A very supportive and family friendly firm that offers a full private client service for individuals. They are well funded and a long standing name in the market for decades. This is a "proper" traditional law firm that prides itself on being embedded in the local community and providing an honest, quality service based around client care.
