Business Immigration lawyer 7+ years to Partner level LONDON

Our client, a large commercial law firm, is looking to recruit a Business Immigration lawyer to build a Business Immigration practice in their London office. They would be looking for someone with specific experience of advising businesses and other organisations on their immigration queries/obligations. The candidate should be able to advise on legal requirements to make sure businesses are fully compliant with Immigration law.

Experience of at least some of the following would be required: • Sponsorship licenses for workers – Tier 2, Tier 2 ICT and Tier 5 • Understanding what activities business visitors to the UK are permitted to do • Advising on appropriate record keeping and monitoring processes • Applications for extension of stay and settlement • Advising on immigration issues to be aware of on setting up business in the UK • Visas for dependants and overseas entry clearance application • Dealing with migrants after a takeover or merger • Assisting with large scale audits in the workplace • Applications for reconsideration of negative decisions and dealing with workplace raids

They are ideally looking for an experienced candidate for this role, someone who has the hunger and ability to build up the practice in the London office as they do not currently have any Immigration law specialists in London. You will receive support and assistance from the Employment department (currently consists of 1 Partner and 2 Associates).
