They are now looking for a proactive Trade Mark Formalities Officer to join their expanding, friendly Leeds head office team.
The appointed candidate will work in a fast paced, professional environment with responsibilities will including:
Production of documentation, either directly with relevant national authorities or indirectly by instruction of a local attorney.

Maintaining the computerised record system for trademarks and designs.

Tracking the current status of cases and maintaining a due date diary system so deadlines are met efficiently and accurately.

Liaising with partners and associates to ensure actions assigned to them are progressed within the required timescales and updating them on progress.

Producing correspondence and communications for clients and trade mark authorities using standard templates and emails.

Developing a sound understanding of trade mark formalities and renewal rules and legislation in the range of countries in which HGF regularly file trademarks and designs, in order to provide a professional service to clients.

Obtaining cost estimates for new registrations and due renewals from foreign attorneys and official offices and liaising with the Accounts team to resolve related fee queries.

Those applying will have already some experience within a Trade Marks support capacity expert. Completion of the CITMA Administration Certificate would be beneficial but is by no means a prerequisite. The successful candidate will be hard working and team orientated with a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities and tasks.
