An opportunity has arisen for an HR Administrator to join this leading international law firm. Graduate calibre candidates with office administration or some previous HR experience will be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of regular HR reports including monthly staff report.
  • Administering legal staff new joiners to include preparing offer letters, undertaking DBS checks, CV screening, medical authorisation, immigration checks and references.
  • Administration of annual processes (partner, legal staff, secretaries and support) including appraisals, salary review and bonuses.
  • Organise end of probation reviews and ensure all paperwork is returned as well as preparing end of probation letters and updating the HR system as appropriate.
  • Managing and co-ordinating ad-hoc work experience requests.
  • Reporting using Crystal Reporting and the HR system (e.g. absence, diversity).
  • Responding to surveys (e.g. headcount statistics).
  • Responsible for auditing the HR system on a quarterly basis and ensuring any information gaps are addressed.
  • Dealing with queries received by the HR Helpdesk (on a rota system with colleagues in the team).
  • Ad hoc project work – including writing policy, research, updating current systems/procedures.
  • Assisting the generalist HR team with generalist HR responsibilities as and when required.

Person Specification:

  • A level and/or degree qualified with one year’s office/administration experience - ideally HR experience within a professional services organisation
  • Highly PC literate with strong systems skills.  Must have excellent Excel skills
  • First class written and verbal communication skills
